A convenient seven kilometres away from the highway, Misty Meadows can be reached after manoeuvring a beautiful stretch of tea-gardens between Kalpetta and Sulthan Bathery. It sits at the edge of the Karapuzha Dam, giving at an exotic backyard and a great view from every room. The name is coined only after the mist that hangs above the area most of the year.
Having been an hotelier himself, it was a natural extension of his job that Abhishek started this homestay with his parents about an year ago. With warm hospitality of a home and all comforts of a hotel, Misty Meadows is a perfect blend of modernity in the middle of wilderness. The sprawling manicured green lawn is spread in front of the house with betel nut trees extending till the end of the property.
The property being absolutely is extremely clean and comfortable, with amenities like a TV and a kettle in every room. There is also a treadmill in the house for those who don’t want to let go of a strict fitness regime on a holiday. There is also a vegetable garden for fresh produce. The food can be served in a separate dining area or better still in the garden to enjoy the lovely view.
Though dog lovers themselves, the family does not allow pets. This is to avoid any pet conflict with their own eleven year old Labrador, Steffi.
