In the midst of the oak clad Shivaliks, Choudhary Dhir Singh and Saroj’s home, the Nest Cottage, is a perfect retreat for a languid holiday. Overlooking the Ramnagar, Kashipur and Corbett National Park, the orange skies quickly light up with stars in the winter evenings. A breathtaking view from all the seven cottages made on different levels is definitely the highlight of the property.
Recently constructed, the self designed cottages are built with thick insulating stones and wood. Charming fireplaces in the rooms are a delight in winters. The levelled cottages overlook a deep rain water harvesting pool which feeds the greenhouse beside it. Fresh vegetables like cauliflower, onions, capsicums, beans and mushrooms are plucked fresh from the garden. Organically grown, the vegetables and the wheat from the hosts’ own farm near Nainital, certainly add uniqueness to Bhagwat Ji’s culinary skills. A host of testimonials appreciating the delectable food have filled the guest book.
