Surprised
This is the first place I have come across where inspite of breakfast being included in the homestay rate, we were charged additional for the accompanying tea. Was dissappointed by this attitude of the host.

A home away from Home.
Our family visited Munnar in 2011 summer and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly at "The Shade". Mr. Santosh and his family provided every comfort to make out stay as best as possible and we felt quite at home. The home made food is specially appreciable. Highlight of out stay is the visit to their sprawling 2.5 acres spice garden. We returned with their generous gift of jack fruits from their garden.

Enjoying the shade!
We had a most enjoyable stay at the Shade and Santosh and Maya were excellent hosts - always attentive and ready to help with suggestions of things to do and places to visit. We ate there every evening and the food was excellent. Would recommend this homestay to anyone who is visiting Munnar.

Stay at "the Shade" - Munnar
The hosts were very hospitable and flexible. The atmosphere was ver homely and the grace with which food was served was very pleasing. We really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the place to anyone travelling with family. We shall remember Mr. and Mrs. Santosh for long. Regards, Venkatesh
