Situated around 16 kilometers from the city airport and 8 kilometers from the railway station, 'Thal Tara Homestay' is a residential property built on a huge agricultural patch owned by a joint family. Colonel Giriraj Singh (Retd.) and his wife Kumud are the hosts of the beautiful homestay. They welcome the guests with home-like hospitality and make them a part of their family. Having served in the Indian Army as a Colonel, Giriraj Singh has traveled extensively within India. Once an avid Polo player, today he enjoys taking care of his little kitchen garden in the backyard and sharing interesting experiences with his guests. Kumud, a talented companion, is an expert on Indian, Rajasthani and continental cuisine. Ethnically from Jaipur, she till date follows her grandmother's recipes to serve lip-smacking traditional food.
The moment one diverts from the main road for the farm stay, the traveler gets a feel of serene and welcoming area which makes one feel at home. The main entrance of the homestay faces the parking area of classic vintage automobiles owned by the host's brother. The homestay has well maintained gardens around the house, ideal for one to laze around in beautiful sunny afternoons. The guest rooms are on the first floor of the house while the host family resides on the ground floor. The rooms are spacious, airy, with attached changing room and bathrooms. They are tastefully decorated with wooden furniture and beds and marble floors. An interesting spot is a wide common terrace between the two guest rooms which overlooks the tranquil area around.
