Jai Vilas is a sprawling bungalow situated in the posh locality of Bapu Nagar in Jaipur. This homestay is a 15-minute drive from the railway station and a 30-minute drive from the airport.The hosts are Mr. Jaideep Singh and his wife. Their ancestry traces back to the legendary Prithviraj Chauhan who defeated the Afghan ruler Muhammad Ghori in the first battle of Tarain in 1191.
Jaideep Singh, incidentally, is an avid golfer. He is a member of the prestigious Rambagh Golf Club- one of the oldest golf clubs in the country. One of the advantages of staying at Jaideep's place is that he can take his guests along for a round of golf at this 18-hole golf club (with par 72 yardage) that happens to be located quite close to his home.If the exhilarating round of golf whips up a heavy appetite in one, one needn't fret.
