A centre point between Delhi and Agra, situated about ten minutes ride from the Hero Honda Chowk in Gurgaon, Birchwood homestay is ideal for those planning to explore the fastest developing area of Haryana. It is considered important for agriculture along with Punjab. Rohit Meena, the gracious host of the homestay, finished his B.Tech from Indian Institute of Delhi. Being a sports enthusiast Rohit enjoys playing and watching cricket. He is also an avid traveler and has traveled to many places within India. He loves meeting new people and making conversations on different cultures, places, lifestyle, art of living and on going trends within India and around the world. Rohit also believes in practicing Yoga regularly and having a healthy way of living. He is ever-ready to help those wanting to benefit from the goodness of Yoga. The homestay is a residential building with three airy rooms (each with attached bathrooms), spacious living and dining area and small garden space in front and back of the house. The house is neatly and decently styled to fulfill the basic requirements of the guests. A small open space within the house is an ideal place to have a bonfire during evenings in winters or just read a book while basking in the warmth of sun. Since, the house is a bit far from the usual crowded market and roads; Birchwood offers peace and calm to those who want to relax. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the biggest attractions in the region which attracts innumerable bird watchers from all over the world to observe bird antics. This reserve for the winged visitors has both winter and summer migratory birds like Siberian cranes, demoiselle cranes, ruddy shell duck, rosy pelican, mallard, pochard, teals, black winged stlit, greenshank, yellow and white wagtail, wood and spotted sandpiper northern pintail, long billed pipit, parakeets and many more. Other wild life includes black buck, hog deer; stripped hyena; antelopes and money. Overall, it witnesses an arrival of around 5,000 migratory birds of various types. Other than the bird sanctuary, their are other options like, forts, museums, new golf courses and Maruti's industrial base which one can explore in Gurgaon.
