Lamba Homestay Feb 2011
We spent 3 days at this homestay at the end of our tour. We found Col Lamba and his wife to be knowledgable and friendly. We only ate at the homestay once as on the other nights groups had been booked for cookery demonstrations, however Col Lamba was very helpful in recommending local restaurants.

Disappointing - not a homestay
Compared to other homestays that we stayed at in Udaipur and Jodhpur (that were amazing, and very homely), this was disappointing. We had minimal interaction with the host, and the breakfast area was set up more like a B&B than in someone's home. For example, at Pahuna Haveli (Udaipur) and also in Jodhpur, the hosts sat with us during mealtimes, as if we were guests in their home. The room was disappointing too - a small, windowless room. I was ill one day and spent the whole day cooped up in an airless room all day. I wasn't even asked how I was feeling, or if there was anything that they could do to help. At the end of our stay this was discussed, and Col Lamba thought that I should be offering this information, rather than him asking me how our stay is! 'Homestay' not recommended!
