This recently opened homestay is like a natural progression for Mr. and Mrs. Zacharias. The couple not only has an integral flair for entertaining but also a history in the hospitality industry. Mr. Zacharia is the director of a luxury resort on Lake Vembanad called, Kayaloram. And Mrs. Maria Zacharia is the author of a bestselling cookbook on Keralian cuisine. Together, they’re natural talents combined to ensure guests friendly service and unforgettable feasts.
The sprawling home is warm and inviting. And just by a look around, one can see the love and attention paid to each detail. There’s an unmistakable sense on vibrancy and tranquillity all around. Both rooms of the homestay are grand and luxurious, and share the chic ambience of the homestay. Besides large wardrobes, writing desks and stylish furniture, the rooms are accessorised by filtering sunlight. In one of the four common rooms, guests can also utilise the family’s treadmill for personal use. The flawless appearance and smooth functioning of this lovely homestay is a true credit to Mr. and Mrs. Zacharia’s eye for detail and also to hardwork of their staff. Besides the indoor lounges, one also has a lush, sunny lawn at disposal. With a cascading waterfall that descends into a cheery lotus pond as a beautiful focal point, the guests can expect an unmatched place to sit and relax.
A walk to the beach would just take you ten minutes, as it’s about 2 kms away. On the beach strip one will also find cosy cafes, restaurants, and public parks. Boat rides are easily accessible from the boat jetty, which is a short walk away. Besides enjoying the natural wonders of Kerala, one can also indulge in cultural explorations. In some seasons, and subject to availability, the family would happily organise Kathakali performances for guests.
