Unbridled greenery of Bangalore blended with some convenient proximity to town, is what every traveler looks while visiting the city. Tucked away in the heart of West Bangalore, only 30 kilometers from the airport & with the railway station in its backyard, 8th Central promises a convenient location with a comfortable stay for its guests.
Having credited only couple of months to its age, the home stay stands tall with freshly renovated three storeys. The lush green vicinity welcomes one into an amiable neighbourhood of Old Bangalore. A separate entrance if required, leads up to the five immaculately clean and spacious air-conditioned suites for double occupancy. The stairway is lit by natural light through the glass walls. Special emphasis has been paid to the extremely comfortable large beds. Glass windows let the natural sunlight seep in so that one can enjoy a good book in the compact seating area near the bed. There is also a large lounge area within the room with sofas and facilities of a phone, internet access and TV in each room. The rooms are definitely larger than some of the hotel rooms and reflect the owners’ own inclination of being treated well, when traveling. The terrace of the house is an exemplary experience with a wide area of 2000 square feet surrounded by greenery, characteristic of old Bangalore residential areas. The space doubles up as a pleasant venue for meals and an open air gym with some weight and cardio equipment.
The travelers are welcome to join the family for vegetarian meals in their dining room and familiarize themselves with the best from two South Indian states – Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, as the hostess hails from the picturesque town of Ooty. Both avid travelers themselves have a plethora of anecdotal information to share from their spontaneous travels in India. A hearty chat over a cup of a delectable ‘masala chai’ is always welcome in the house. The home emits unique warmth of a classic, though contemporary South Indian family.
