In the middle of the Gurgaon's hustle and bustle is a peaceful haven called Haree Shankar. Located minutes from the airport and the Delhi-Gurgaon border, Haree Shankar is well-connected to the capital as well as an excellent conduit between Delhi and Rajasthan. It offers a wide range of activities to its occupants who can drive to Delhi for sightseeing or enjoy the nightlife, shopping and golfing experiences of Gurgaon.
The impeccably maintained home, which has four luxurious guest bedrooms, is a true reflection of its owners, Capt. Baldev Singh and his better half, Mrs. Krishna Singh. The history of the affable and cultured couple can be traced back to some of India's most influential royal families. While Captain Singh hails from the "Karnauli" family and from Lord Krishna's clan, Mrs. Singh is a descendant of King Prithvi Raj Chauhan and the royal family of Patiala.
The couple takes a lot of pride in their beautiful, sun-lit home and wishes to provide their guests with memorable Indian experiences. The couple goes out of their way to organize meditation, yoga, cooking and pickle-making sessions for guests as well as organizing Kerala massages, astrological readings and tarot sessions. The Singh's eldest son is a Bollywood actor while their younger sons are producers and filmmakers. Capt. Singh goes as far as organizing unique Bollywood Tours for guests, on special request. Unlike other homestays, Haree Shankar offers a private, fully-functional kitchen to guests who wish to stay for an extended period of time. A well-stocked library is available to avid readers who can spend time on the terrace while reading up on a variety of subjects. Capt. Singh has an esteemed background in the hospitality industry as he owns a chain of prestigious hotels in India.
